Global Overrides
Global overrides are emergency controls that supersede every ruleset and per-tool setting. They take effect immediately, no restart needed.
Toggle them from the sidebar in the dashboard.
Safe Mode
Section titled “Safe Mode”Forces every tool to Requires Approval, regardless of what any ruleset says.
When Safe Mode is active:
- A yellow indicator appears in the sidebar
- Every tool call pauses for your explicit approval
- Nothing executes without your sign-off
Use this when you want to observe and manually review all AI activity. Good for initial setup, debugging, or anytime you want full control.
Lockdown
Section titled “Lockdown”Forces every tool to Disabled. All tools become invisible to all AI clients. No tool calls can be made at all.
When Lockdown is active:
- A red indicator appears in the sidebar
- AI clients see no available tools
- All MCP activity halts
Use this as a kill switch during a security incident or when you need to immediately stop all AI tool usage.
Clearing overrides
Section titled “Clearing overrides”Click the override indicator in the sidebar to clear it. Normal ruleset-based governance resumes instantly.
Overrides are intentionally visible and prominent. If someone opens the dashboard, they immediately see whether the system is in a special state.
